A PUF panel specification has nine lines, and every one of them changes either what the panel does or what it costs. Below is the specification of our 50 mm roof panel with 0.5 / 0.3 mm sheets, as it stood on 25 September 2026, with a 50 mm wall panel alongside for contrast, and a plain explanation of each line. The live sheet, with today's price, is the 50 mm roof panel specification page. On 23 Sep 2026 that panel was ₹ 1,269 per sqm at the 3,000 sqm slab, ex-factory Kathua, GST and freight extra (factory prices on 23 Sep 2026). Top sheet and bottom sheet
The two steel skins. The figure is the sheet thickness in millimetres, stated as nominal TCT, total coated thickness: the steel plus its metallic coating and paint, which is how coated sheet is sold and measured. Thicker sheet is stiffer, dents less and costs more.
The two faces need not match. A roof panel has weather on top and a ceiling underneath, so ours carries 0.5 mm on top and 0.3 mm below. A wall is seen from both sides, so the wall panel carries the same sheet on both faces.
Galvalume AZ70/PPGL names the sheet. Galvalume is steel with an aluminium-zinc coating; AZ70 is the coating mass class; PPGL is pre-painted Galvalume, the same sheet with a paint system on it.
Core
PUF is rigid polyurethane foam, foamed in place between the sheets. 40 kg/m³ is its density: the weight of a cubic metre of foam. Density is a check that the foam was fully formed; it is not the same thing as thickness. Panel 50 mm is the overall thickness, sheet to sheet. Figures often printed beside the core, such as k-value and closed-cell content, are common to all rigid PU; which PUF panel figures really differ explains why they do not separate suppliers.
Chargeable width
The width the square metres are measured on, and the single most useful line for an estimator. A roof panel covers 1.00 m of roof across its width, so a 9 m roof panel bills as 9 sqm. A wall panel covers 1.15 m, so a 6 m wall panel bills as 6.9 sqm. Quantity in sqm is length × chargeable width × number of panels.
Profile and coverage
A roof panel is ribbed for stiffness and drainage: six-ridge with 30 mm crest means six ribs across the width, each standing 30 mm proud. A wall panel is flat and the line instead gives its module, 1150 mm, which is the joint spacing along a run.
Coating system
The paint on the sheet, and the line most often left off a quotation. Multi coat means a primer and a top coat rather than a single coat. 20 µ total DFT is the dry film thickness of primer plus top coat on the weather face, in microns; 10 µ is the back coat on the inner face. RMP is the paint chemistry class. IS 15965 / ISO 16163 is the standard the pre-painted sheet is made to.
Whatever the supplier, ask for this line in writing, in microns. It is the line that decides how the roof looks in year eight.
Length, colour, lamination
Cut to order: length is not part of the specification because every panel is cut to the buyer's drawing. RAL9002 Off-White is the standard colour code. Plain lamination is the protective film on the sheet, carrying no branding, so the panel can be sold on under any label.
Using the sandwich panel specification in a tender
Write the lines in the units above: mm TCT for sheets, kg/m³ for core, mm for thickness, m for chargeable width, µ DFT for coating, and the sheet standard. A specification written that way can be checked at the gate with a micrometer, a scale and a coating gauge, and the rate against it can be dated from the public price record.
Frequently asked questions
What is the technical specification of a 50 mm PUF panel?
For our roof panel: 0.5 mm top and 0.3 mm bottom sheets (nominal TCT, Galvalume AZ70/PPGL), 40 kg/m³ PUF core, 50 mm thick, 1.00 m chargeable width, six-ridge profile with 30 mm crest, multi-coat finish of 20 µ top and 10 µ back, IS 15965 / ISO 16163, cut to order, RAL9002 Off-White, plain lamination — as on the product page on 25 Sep 2026.
Is there a PUF panel datasheet to download?
The full specification of every panel is printed on its product page, with the dated price. No separate datasheet file was on the site on 25 Sep 2026.
What does TCT mean on a PUF panel specification?
Total coated thickness: the steel plus its metallic coating and paint. Coated sheet is specified and measured this way.
What does 40 kg/m³ mean?
The density of the foam core, the weight of one cubic metre. It is the same across every thickness in our range.
EasyPuf makes PUF sandwich panels at Kathua (J&K) and publishes its factory price per sqm in public at easypuf.com/prices — ex-factory, GST and freight extra, pay to book — with every day's prices kept on record at easypuf.com/prices/archive.
