A PUF slab is a wall panel with paper facings in place of metal sheets — the trade's PUF slab. It is the same rigid polyurethane foam core, 40 kg/m³, that goes into our roof and wall panels, faced with paper on both sides instead of steel. On 23 September 2026 the 50 mm PUF slab was ₹ 610 per sqm for orders of 3,000 sqm and above, ₹ 630 at 1,500 sqm and ₹ 650 at the 750 sqm trial slab, ex-factory Kathua, GST and freight extra (factory prices on 23 Sep 2026). Four lines, because there is no sheet to specify: no profile, no coating, no colour. What is left is the foam, and the foam is the same as in the panels.
PUF insulation slab: what it is for
The slab is insulation sold as insulation. Where a panel is a finished wall or roof — foam plus its own steel skin, ready to fix — the slab is the foam alone, for a buyer who supplies the skin: a fabricator lining a body, a builder insulating behind a finish, a project that has its cladding and wants the core. The product page states the facing, core, width and length and leaves the use to the buyer.

Every slab thickness carried the 750 sqm trial slab that day. The steps between thicknesses show what the foam alone costs: ₹ 90 per sqm from 40 to 50 mm, ₹ 80 from 50 to 60 mm, ₹ 210 from 60 to 80 mm, at the 3,000 sqm slab.

The comparison is between products with different jobs, not a like-for-like; a slab needs a skin the buyer supplies and fixes. But a fabricator who has the skin can see what the core alone costs.

Ordering the slab: width, length and the truck
The slab is 1 m wide and cut to order, so the area is length × 1 m × pieces, and the order is placed in sqm of one thickness. Two thicknesses are two slabs for the volume rule. On the road, a 32 ft container carries about 1,060 sqm of 50 mm slab at 32 ft length, and shorter pieces stack differently; the loading plan sets the truck count.
